Abstract

The Smart Healthcare System (AI Doctor) is an online application aimed at assisting a user in determining the most suitable medical department depending on the symptoms that the person reports and the medical reports that he or she uploads. The system relies on the model of Natural language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) to deliver an accurate prediction of its departments. The site is developed with React.js to create an interactive and user-friendly front-end, Spring Boot to create a scalable and efficient back-end, MySQL to store user data and Python to train and deploy machine learning models. Further refinements on medical reports are done with the help of more advanced AI methods with built-in NLP. The main objective of such a system is to improve access to healthcare especially among people in remote locations and to decrease the non-essential hospital attendance of non-emergency situations. The system allows patients to be aware of what department they are supposed to attend and saves time and expenses and reduces the burden on the healthcare facilities by offering them preliminary medical guidance.
